Love Letters
Our website is filled with photos that we believe are beautiful, that move us. Pictures that we are proud of because they turned out so well! At the same time, we are curious to hear about the favourites of the brides and grooms. Why is this photo their favourite? What is it that moves them? We asked our brides and grooms to write a Love Letter to their favourite photo and here we share their answers.
CARLY and ROBIN
‘This is one of our (many) favourite pictures, because it shows us in an ultimate moment of happiness. The kiss that ends the ceremony. A moment of us together, in the spotlight. When you look closely, you can see all our family and friends beaming with joy in the background. The picture takes us on a journey back to that one special moment. Leonard and Janneke are great at that anyway, with their relaxed way of taking story-telling photos. They capture real moments which make you relive the day time and time again.’
Our vision
For us it is also fantastic to read and to see how the bridal couple look back on their wedding and what makes their favourite photo their favourite. In Carly and Robin’s case I really understand why this is one of their favourites: they themselves in the centre and family and friends beaming in the background. It is what every bridal couple wants. This is one of the reasons why we – where possible – always take a picture at the moment of the kiss with your guests in the background. They are also an important part of your day!

REINOUT and ANNE
‘We are so happy with the pictures of our wedding! This definitely is one of our favourites, taken at a moment when we were really enjoying ourselves. We have celebrated love with people that we love and we laughed a lot. The fantastic pictures help us keep these vivid memories alive!’
Our vision
Reinout and Anne got married in February in their home town of Leiden. This was a real winter wedding. Not only Reinout and Anne, but also their parents and other family members and friends can be seen in the reflection in this picture. It is great to read that it is one of their favourites! Do you want to see more of their wedding photos?

ARTHUR and ANNE
‘This picture sums up how we remember our wedding perfectly: relaxed; the most precious people around us; beautiful weather with a strong wind; in the town of Gouda where we grew up. We did not even know that this moment was captured until we saw the photo. That shows you how unobtrusive Leonard was.’
Our vision
When reading and watching the stories and pictures on this page, do you notice that not one represents a standard wedding moment? They are often moments in between, during dinner, on the way to a next location. It is wonderful that those pictures that tell the real story are not only our favourites, but also the favourites of our brides and grooms. Arthur and Anne in this case.

THIJN and MARISKA
‘This photo has received a beautiful spot in our living room. We had a wonderful day and it shows how much fun we have together. On top of that, it is a black-and-white photo, with guests laughing in the background.’
Our vision
Thijn works for one of my long-term customers; he is my first point of contact there. It was an honour to be allowed to capture the wedding of Thijn and Mariska as well! It is really special when two sectors overlap in this way. :-)

DAVID and HILDE
‘This photo is definitely one of our many favourites. It is autumn and we are at the road where David lived when he was a student, with all our guests. We are waiting to jump on the museum tram which will take us through beautiful Rotterdam. Looking back at our pictures, keeps our fantastic day alive forever. We could not have wished for a better photographer. Love, David & Hilde’
Our vision
A wedding we will not soon forget! A rainy autumn day in Rotterdam, with lovely people, beautiful locations, and original transport. A picture like this adds to the narrative of the wedding day. It shows something personal from the bridal couple, and it helps tell the day’s story.

DUCO and CARLIJN
‘This picture captures the love and joy that we felt on our wedding day perfectly. This was during dinner, when we were both thankful for all the lovely people around us. Janneke managed to capture this special moment. Sometimes it still makes us cry with joy. It was an unforgettable day!’
Our vision
I can still remember the wedding of Duco and Carlijn so well: a beautiful spring day, a sweet couple, and a unique schedule. There was time to celebrate with all the guests in the afternoon and only after dinner did the official ceremony take place. After that, it was time for a great party!
- Janneke
KAY and RACHEL
‘We still look back on one of the beautiful days of our lives. This picture was taken before our blast of a party started. A last moment of peace, together… and of course, Leonard. The picture reminds us of a beautiful day filled with emotion, humour, and especially a lot of love. Leonard is able to capture this sentiment like no other. He is simply at the top in his field!’
Our vision
It is nice to see that this picture is one of Kay and Rachel’s favourites. We recommend this moment to all bridal couples, because it is so nice to ground yourselves before the party breaks loose.
- Janneke
ERNST and ANNEKE
‘I think this is my personal favourite; a picture of a moment that still feels like yesterday. A very, very strong memory.’
Our vision
It is wonderful that Ernst and Anneke chose a picture of an ‘in-between moment’ as their favourite. A loving gaze like this, gives us an insight into the emotions of you as a couple, something that we are looking for again and again at every wedding!
- Leonard
MAARTEN and MARLIES
‘I think we never agreed on this, but there was such a beautiful sunset, so Janneke and Marieke called us to take some photos on the beach. This was a beautiful moment for us, together between day and evening. We could not have been happier because the day had already been fantastic. The evening had yet to start! It felt as if the whole day went by so quickly and it was nice to reflect for a moment and to consciously enjoy it together. For me, this picture echoes that feeling of sharing this moment of happiness together exactly. Lots of love
Maarten en Marlies
Our vision
One tip that we always give to bridal couples is: schedule a moment alone between the dinner and the evening reception. Ground yourselves for a moment, catch your breath, reflect on the two of you, and celebrate your day. It was lovely to read that this turned into such a valuable moment for Maarten and Marlies!
